YuanDong Steel has its own standards of element composition for H13 Steel in terms of its 15 years of manufacturing experience. based on different applications, different alloyed element compositions are also changing accordingly. Therefore, YuanDong Steel offers two solutions to these circumstances. 

YuanDong Standard II promises that the composition of Mo must not be less than 1.20% while that of V must not be less than 0.90%.

YuanDong Standard I promises that the composition of Mo must not be less than 1.30% while that of V must not be less than 1.00%.

Chart IV Critical Temperature of Forged Special Steel H13

YuanDong Forged Special Steel H13is widely used in various places in both cold and hot working. In hot work processing YuanDong Forged Special Steel H13 shear knives and dummy block extrusion can be used. In cold work process this steel is used for punching, heading and inserting of die blocks. YuanDong Forged Special Steel H13 is a high hot-wear resistance and great strength, warm conductivity air hardening and invulnerability to hot cracking. It has a great resistance to abrasion at each low and high temperature due to the presence of high vanadium. The high level of toughness and ductility made it a useful material for die casting in the cold heading field.

Yuandong Steel has a large amount of manufacturing equipments that are both technologically sophisticated and accurately designed for the goodness of every procedure that the quality-guaranteed steel products require. Within 3 main workshop factories there are the casting workshop, the forging workshop, the machine processing workshop, the heat treatment workshop and the auxiliary workshop.

The electroslag remelting (ESR) process is used to remelt and refine steels and various super-alloys, resulting in high-quality ingots. The ESR process uses the as-cast alloy as a consumable electrode. Electric current (generally AC) is passed between the electrode and the new ingot, which is formed in the bottom of a water-cooled copper mould. 

The new ingot is covered in an engineered slag that is superheated by the electric current. The electrode tip is slowly melted from contact with the slag. These metal droplets travel through the slag to the bottom of the water-cooled mould and slowly freeze as the ingot is directionally solidified upwards from the bottom of the mould. The slag pool floats above the refined alloy, continuously floating upwards as the alloy solidifies. 

The molten metal is cleaned of impurities that chemically react with the slag or otherwise float to the top of the molten pool as the molten droplets pass through the slag.
